The spirits of animals inhibit my work, emerge from within it with stories that live beyond language. Artists are runners, they carry these stories, showing that human beings do not end at their fingertips. We are connected to all of nature.

When we stand in the river, and feel its force against our bodies, we come to recognize the presence of agreements made between us and all of natures energy. The paintings create a sense of place for us and give voice to bear, bird, ocean, forest.
