The Mission of Create Art and Tea
There is one thing that is a constant source of inspiration and uplift to the Human Spirit—Art.
The Creative Spirit of Art carries its own unique movement of expression, in multi-dimensional experimentation and representation. In this realm of expression, our deepest emotions and hidden passions can come to life. Art gives us the opportunity to live in the moving moment that is felt within. We experience a union there. And this union feeds our search for that movement. It motivates the artist, the creator. A sacred circle is completed.
The great union of Spirit and Creative Expression seeks its source through many interpretations. There is fascinating research that studies, in depth, Spirit’s connection with Art—for example Monet and his Impressionist paintings. Interpretations long to enter a deeper knowing of the art form. There is a feeling connection that yearns to reveal the original inspiration. Or perhaps to simply journey in its Wonder!
Create’s Mission is to represent and promote the Creative Spirit that lives in us all, to honor our connection to Inspiration and Creativity. There are many different mediums represented in our “Little Shop of Wonders.”
Each unique design is hand crafted through many hours of patience and care. We in Create are living the dream of Expression in the domain of Freedom. Freedom to give others what moves our lives. Each artist works for years towards realizing their passion—through study, research, and development of their art form. It takes years of patience to achieve the perfection of representation. It takes courage to face the hoped-for approval and acceptance.
In his beautiful Book of Tea, Kakuzo Okakura writes:
“Our mind is the canvas on which the artists lay their colour; their pigments are our emotions; their chiaroscuro the light of joy, or the shadow of sadness. The masterpiece is of ourselves, as we are of the masterpiece. The sympathetic communion of minds necessary for art appreciation must be based on mutual concession. The spectator must cultivate the proper attitude for receiving the message, as the artist must know to impart it.” The artist, the painting, and its audience are not three things, but one.”
We of Create invite everyone who has the passion to know and live Art, to set your Spirit free in whatever Creative Theater of life inspires you. Such freedom can help us know true happiness and a deeper realization of Self. This, in turn, helps others to learn from the “freeing of their Inspiration.”

What does this fragment of my life represent at this time? As I gaze into the reflection of what is about to be revealed, a vision is given. I see the determination to study and develop, to represent and give in the domain called ART.
The Creative soul of Caprice was always expressed in music and its development. Every endeavor was a passion to be with the Arts. But Music and Movement were the priority. When answering that age-old question, “what are you going to be when you grow up?” there was no doubt I would commit to my love of the performing arts. As is true for so many who follow such passion, there were challenges to representing my art and bringing it forth. I was fortunate in being recognized, for that is what we all seek in one way or another!

In support of the Arts and the Creative Spirit that lives in each of us, Create Art and Tea is now my focus. My goals are to encourage those who are represented in Create—to provide a space for their passions to ignite, a place where Inspiration can shine through. Inspiration is a divine gift that flows from a sacred wellspring. It can be illuminated in our Art and communicate itself to others, changing our perspective. THAT is the space I seek to provide for the artists and all who visit Create.
Lighting and inspiring their lives helps them in turn respond to the needs of others. Inspiration is one of my gifts—it comes from divine guidance and through creative thought. I believe Create is here to help others rise to the potential of their own creative thinking. It’s here to encourage others to take a time-out, connect with Art, and to relax from daily stresses.
Along the journey of my life, one path led me to research gardening and growing medicinal herbs. I was so excited to learn of the ancient medicinal ways of TEA, and HERBS! Their use dates back at least 5,000 years in China and India—and most likely long before that. Our dear Mother Earth provides the key to Well Being and Good Health. My explorations in the research of tea and its health benefits have been fascinating. Discoveries are proving to be true. There are so many remedial herbs found just right outside our door. There’s Lavender, Chamomile, Raspberry leaves, and the list goes on and on.
Create Art and Tea is just the latest expression of my delving into the worlds of medicinal herbs and remedies. I had a chart on my wall for many years about what herbs do and how they aid physical ailments. This is ancient wisdom passed down through the wives and the midwives, the husbands and practitioners. It comes from all the caregivers who honor our planet and the miracles it produces for us every day.
My passion at this time is very simple but very powerful. I want to contribute to and support the Creative Spirit that lives in us all—that lives in our planet and in the Tea it provides for us. I believe we can move towards gentler, nurturing ways through Art, and with the guidance of our dear Mother Earth. Together, we create the support that’s needed, with Gusto and Bravado.
It is time to uphold and honor the ways that bring us so much freely-given sustenance. Our daily prayers are needed—that God keeps providing for our nourishment and healing. We give thanks that the Sun and the Earth continue the miracle of their collaboration. These ways can then provide we Seekers with comfort and nurture for Body and Spirit, for all our lives. This is why I do what I do!
