This class is designed to help the intermediate to advanced level Digital SLR camera users and photography students to better see composition when taking photos. Ideas will be presented to better evaluate your scene and subject matter before pushing the shutter button as well as critiquing their own work in the editing process. Often images have a good exposure but lack “compositional impact” for the viewer. Learning to “see” elements, “anticipate the shot” , is a skill that takes photography to the next level. In this class, we discuss ideas on how to sharpen the students creative eye, before the shutter is snapped and after in post production editing to enhance the impact of the image.
We will have an open floor discussion with students work for all to see and listen in on critique. Suggestions will be given on how to better understand what effect the photographer is wanting to get before snapping the shutter.
