Lisa Fairbank lives, breathes and paints Colorado's mountains and canyons.

She works from her studio, a converted houseboat named Edith, in Hotchkiss, CO and on location.

Working primarily in oils, she strives to capture her majestic surroundings. Mostly self-educated.

she has studied with some of the best landscape artists in the country. In the last year she has won numerous awards and been juried into several prestigious art shows.

Having fallen in love with Plein Air painting, she now serves as the coordinator for the North Fork Valley Plein Air Group, as well as maintaining memberships in OPA, PAAC and NAWA.

She is currently working on a series of panoramas that reflect what she sees every day in Western Colorado.
